Step 1: The First Burn
When you light up your candle for the first time make sure that the wax melts across the entire surface of the container. This will prevent tunneling and you’ll get an even burn throughout the candle’s life.
Moreover, to preserve the potency of the fragrance of your scented candles, we strongly recommend that you never burn them for more than 3 hours.
Step 2: Extinguishing Your Candle The Right Way
Instead of blowing out your candle, we recommend you use a snuffer to avoid smoke and the lingering smell of smoldering wick. We also recommend that you pre-trim your wick to ⅛ inch each time and prevent any wick trimmings and debris from falling into the wax pool.
Step 3: Always Be Safe
Always keep your scented candles away from flammable objects, children, pets, and drafts and never leave them unattended. We also recommend that you discard your candle when ½ ich of wax is left as letting it burn beyond this can cause a fire hazard.
Step 4: Time to Repurpose Your Jars!
Once your candle is used up, heat the leftover wax by pouring hot water, scoop out the wax, and wash the jar with soap and warm water. Now you can use your jar as a container or décor to elevate your spaces.
